ANV Measurement Systems have been providing weather monitoring systems since 2015. The impetus for ANV Measurement Systems was the addition of the dust/particulate monitoring element (Live PM10) to LivEnviro. If you are monitoring dust, it’s essential to monitor at least windspeed, wind direction and precipitation.
Almost co-incidentally, the 2014 revision of BS 4142, Methods for Rating and Assessing Industrial and Commercial Sound advised “Where appropriate, use instruments for measuring meteorological parameters during long term unattended measurements by means of a logging meteorological station at the measurement location”. This drove ANV Measurement Systems to develop a battery powered professional logging weather station.
So, ANV Measurement Systems provide both a live-to-web (Live Met) and unattended logging weather station. During the original development process, and beyond, ANV Measurement Systems evaluated all of the professional standard weather stations and concluded that the Lufft WS 600 was the best option for a number of reasons. The sensors contain no moving parts, making the system virtually silent, the Lufft calibration processes are robust and provide traceable proof that the WS 600s are performing to spec, and the WS600’s low power consumption makes it well-suited to off-grid deployment. Having supplied these units for some time we are pleased to be able to report from first-hand experience that they are very reliable.
