Many waste and recycling facilities are in urban locations in close proximity to dwellings and other sensitive receptors. Operators make efforts to manage noise and dust levels but some operations are inherently noisy and generate dust. 

With ANV Measurement Systems’ LivEnviro system the real-time levels of noise and dust can be monitored and compared to suitable limits. E-mail alerts can be sent out when limits are exceeded and/or when there is danger that they will be exceeded. You can also share selected monitoring information with the Environment Agency, councils and other stakeholders, but you control how much information they have access to.

In situations where it is necessary to differentiate between noise from your site and other sources of noise, the Norsonic Nor1297 Noise Compass monitors noise level and direction of arrival. It clearly differentiates between sound arriving from your site and sound being generated by the other noise sources.
