Railway Groundborne Vibration

Railway vibration monitoring can be measured with the Rion VM-56 vibration monitor which is perfectly suited to measurement of groundborne vibration from railways. The Rion VM-56 has a frequency range of 0.5 – 315 Hz and simultaneously measures VDV, PPV, dominant frequency, displacement and a high resolution (100 msec) rms acceleration time history. These parameters can also be measured when the third octave and/or wav file recording options are installed.

The VM-56 is equally suited to use for attended samples, long-term unattended measurements or live-to-web railway vibration monitoring measurements with Live PPV.

If you are looking to measure on more than 3 channels simultaneously, or a wider frequency range, the Rion DA-21 or the RioNote may suit your requirements.
