Product Description

The Rion VM-56 is a unique instrument. A proper engineers’s/consultant’s vibration meter capable of simultaneously measuring PPV, dominant frequency, displacement and VDV whilst being so easy to use that you can be confident that anyone from your team could take it out and get sensible measurement results. A detailed 100msec time history can be stored simultaneously with the processed measurement results. Data is stored as a csv file on removable SD card.

Adding the waveform recording option provides that extra level of insurance by storing the raw acceleration data as a wav file that can be re-analysed. Rion AS-70 can be used for the re-analysis.

The Rion VM-56 is equally suited to attended measurements, long-term measurements and live-to-web monitoring with ANV’s LivEnviro. It’s like having three instruments in one.

There’s also a range of practical mounting accessories and the IPX7-rated triaxial accelerometer can be used with up to 300 metres of extension cable.

With its wide dynamic range and low noise floor, the VM-56 can be used to investigate and monitor vibration impacts on structures, people (perceptible vibration and the relatively low levels of vibration that can give rise to groundborne noise) and even sensitive machinery.

There is a third octave option, which can be used simultaneously with the wav file recording option, that directly measures third octave rms acceleration.

The VM-56 equips consultants to tackle vibration jobs confidently.
