Discriminate between noise sources based upon their location.
The Norsonic Nor1297 Noise Compass is a great solution to the problem of distinguishing between noise from different sources. Situated on a site boundary, for example, a sector can be set up so the noise levels generated from inside the site can be separated from those generated outside the site. Set up at a receptor the Nor1287 can distinguish between the noise levels arriving from different directions and therefore noise sources.
The Nor1297 Noise Compass continuously detects the direction of arrival of sound from the dominant noise source.
The Nor1297 Noise Compass can be used with NorCloud, the Nor1545 Noise Monitoring Terminal and the Nor145 and Nor150 sound level analysers.
The Nor1297 Noise Compass sound level and direction data can be used live-to-web with NorCloud.
NorReview can be used to analyse sound arrival data stored by Nor145 or Nor150 and reports can be generated by NorCloud or NorReview.
