ANV Measurement Systems have instrumentation that can help with environmental noise, vibration monitoring for machinery health and workplace noise.Â
Both Live Leq and Norcloud can be used to continuously monitor both the level and type of environmental noise from power generation and transmission. Knowing the level of noise is not enough for power generation and transmission, the frequency content is very important and it may be necessary to have access good quality audio in order to verify the nature of the noise. Low frequency noise, transformer noise and corona noise are examples of sounds which need additional information, not just level, in order for them to be properly assessed.
If live data is not necessary, ANV Measurement Systems can provide suitable systems for both attended and unattended measurements. These systems are principally based on the Rion NL-53 and Norsonic Nor145 Class 1 Sound Level Meters.Â
If you are trying to locate a specific sound source in an acoustically complex environment, the Norsonic Nor848B might be the solution. The modular design of this acoustic camera sets it apart from its competition – the 3 tile version in low frequency mode has an exceptional lower frequency limit of 120 Hz.
If you need to make spot checks of vibration levels of rotating machinery, it’s worth being aware of the Rion VA-12. This portable instrument is powerful (3200 FFT), portable and well suited to an industrial environment.Â
Rion are now offering some excellent products for the health and safety sector at very competitive prices. The Rion NL-28 is a Class 2 sound level meter with Rion’s legendary ease of use and build quality. This can be paired with Rion NB-14 dosimeters and the Rion NC-75 Acoustic Calibrator. The Rion NL-43 Class 2 sound level meter is more suited to detailed analysis and can be upgraded to measure octaves/third octaves.
If you think you should always carry a sound level meter with you, the Norsonic Nor103 is the world’s smallest Class 1 sound level meter.Â
Should you need to make sound level measurements only occasionally, ANV Measurement Systems have a huge fleet of exceptionally easy to use Class 1 sound level meters.Â
If you’re not quite sure what you need, don’t hesitate to call. There are always acoustics professionals available during normal office hours to discuss your requirements.Â
If you already have sound and vibration instrumentation ANV Measurement Systems UKAS Laboratory (0653) calibrates all major manufacturers’ instrumentation with a standard 5 day turnround.
