Rion have a unique lineup of instruments for measuring and monitoring machinery vibration.Â
The Rion VA-12 is a portable and powerful single channel vibration analyser. It can measure a 3200 line zoomable FFT in terms of acceleration, velocity or displacement. the Rion VA-12 can be easily used to check vibration levels against reference spectra. The Rion VA-12 has an excellent colour screen which is visible in all lighting conditions. Data can be stored as a comma delimited text file on a removable SD card. The Rion VA-12 can also record wav files and instrument display can also be stored as a bitmap. The Rion VA-12 is supplied with a really practical accelerometer with a magnetic attachment and robust curly cable.
If you need to collect vibration data wirelessly, perhaps from an inaccessible or hazardous location, you should consider the Rion RioNote. There are a lot of multi-channel vibration analysers on the market but the RioNote is unique. It is a programmable (Android) tablet-form multi-channel analyser which can be connected wirelessly to sensors/sensor amplifiers. There are a number of programs available from Rion for the RioNote. The Vibration Analyser application, for example, replicates the functionality of multiple VA-12s. The Pass/Fail Evaluation app for the RioNote allows the sophisticated setting of pass/fail vibration (or noise) criteria. The RioNote can be integrated into a Production Line Control or Inspection system via ethernet. Custom made apps can be developed for the RioNote that suit your exact measurement requirements.
The Rion DA-21 is a portable, battery-powered 4 channel (plus taco input) data recorder that can be used to collect the data from ICP accelerometer. This can be used with the wide selection of ICP accelerometers available form Rion or with standard 2 mA ICP accelerometers from other manufacturers.Â
If you just want to check overall vibration levels with a really simple and portable industrial vibration meter, the Rion VM-82 has a separate accelerometer with a magnetic attachment while the VM-63C is an all-in-one pocketable vibration meter – the user simply holds the tip of the integral accelerometer probe against the vibrating object to assessed.
Rion offer a great solution for a permanent, wired, multi-channel vibration monitoring system which connects to a normal PC via LAN or USB. The Rion UV-22 can be used to control up to 16 Rion UV-15 vibration channels. The system is controlled by a simple programme on the PC so, when the time arises to change computer, you can still use the Rion UV-22/UV-15 and just re-install the lightweight software on the new machine. The system is totally modular so the channel count can be varied to suit your application.
If you’re not quite sure what you need, don’t hesitate to call. There are always acoustics and vibration professionals available during normal office hours to discuss your requirements.Â
If you already have sound and vibration instrumentation ANV Measurement Systems UKAS Laboratory (0653) calibrates all major manufacturers’ instrumentation with a standard 5 day turnround.
