The nature of the armed forces’ training and operations gives rise to some challenging measurement conditions. ANV Measurement Systems can provide expert advice on systems and measurement procedures to overcome the difficulties and reliably provide accurate data.

ANV Measurement Systems have provided instruments to the UK armed forces for the management of health and safety. Rion’s easy to use and robust sound level meters, dosimeters and hand-arm/whole- body vibration meters are well-suited to the rigours of forces’ use. 

Norsonic instruments, and NorCloud, have proved to be well-suited to live-to-web monitoring of noise from firing ranges.

Rion’s aircraft noise monitors are used extensively to monitor noise from military airfields. One main advantage of Rion’s aircraft noise monitors in this context is that they can identify aircraft noise events without the need to access radar information.

ANV Measurement Systems UKAS Laboratory (0653), with it’s standard 5 day turnround, calibrates all major manufacturers’ instrumentation and has been providing calibration services to the UK armed forces for 20 years.
