Rion have a unique aircraft noise monitoring system, based on the Rion NA-39, which differentiates specific aircraft noise events (take offs, landings, over-flights and ground noise) from the arrival direction of the sound. This is particularly useful when there is no access to the airport’s radar data. Rion’s system can, of course, be integrated with the airport’s radar data and can also incorporate an SSR receiver to further verify the aircraft noise events.
Norsonic’s Nor1545 Noise Monitoring Terminals have been integrated into many airports’ noise monitoring systems, integrating with the airports’ systems and radar data.Â
Live-to-web aviation noise measurements can, of course, be carried out with more general noise monitoring systems such as a Live Leq system or NorCloud which both give real time access to audio and data.Â
Even simpler still, the Rion NL-53 or the Norsonic 145 can both store large amounts of data and audio for subsequent analysis. These can be provided with outdoor protection for the instruments and microphone.Â
Both our Rion and Norsonic based systems can be provided with off grid power solutions for year round deployment.
